Dr. Muthukaruppan Gnanadesigan (Muthu) has an M.S degree in Biomedical Instrumentation from the Furtwangen University, Germany, and a PhD in Medical Imaging and Electronics from the Erasmus University Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

He has published more than 10 technical papers in very renowned International science and technology journals. He has presented in International conferences in the U.S, Germany, Netherlands and Japan. He was invited as guest speaker in Tohuku University, Japan and University of Amsterdam. He is an active member of SPIE and International Working Group for Intravascular Optical Coherence Tomography.

He is also the Alumni chapter head of his batch, visiting lecturer, and mentor in his alma mater – Dr. MGR Educational and Research Institute – where he was a gold medalist in the department of Biomedical Instrumentation during his Bachelor studies.

Muthu currently heads the Healthcare division of Sosaley Technologies. His main policy interest is generating technical solutions for sustainable and affordable health care. His main scientific interest is to bridge the technology gap by creating innovative and useful healthcare products for the society in India and in general. He is working on multiple exciting projects and product development including cancer, cardiovascular and other therapies.

Muthu is working closely with the Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute to see how to offer life saving mechanisms to both the Indian military as well as civilians.
