Hyundai Motors India Limited (HMIL) today ordered for Sosaley BMS to monitor 10 large gen-sets installed in their factory in Sriperumbudur, near Chennai. Each of these gen-sets have batteries for auto start of the gen-sets when needed.
Sosaley BMS will keep a continuous watch on the batteries and give alerts when needed on the status of the batteries. These will remove any errors in gen-sets starting. The gen-sets in HMIL form a critical part of the production facility.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Boobathi, Senior Sales Manager, Sosaley said, “This is a big breakthrough for us. There are a number of challenges in the installation. For one, the gen-sets are in the open and subject to heat and dust. Secondly, they are quite far from the factory floor. The GPRS has to work perfectly to transmit data.” Looking forward, he said, “Hyundai is looking for a number of IoT solutions, and Sosaley will work to deliver what they need.”
